Butchart Gardens

Ah… the Rose Garden and what a smell!! This area was certainly the most popular. The backdrop for the roses were these huge Delphiniums! Totem pole close to the Firework's fields (have fireworks Sat. evening in the summer) The pond at the Firework's fields This might be Joe Pye Weed (trying to use my Butchart Plant Identifier guide) Beautiful colors They had roses from all over the world I've never seen so many varieties at one garden A great photo of the Delphinium -- but hard to get the perspective. This might be the Copper Beech tree There are lots of places to stop and get an eyeful
