Tuna Harbor Park and Fish Market

We didn't have far to walk. Soon we were in Tuna Harbor Park which is on the south side of the Midway.This park is home to the famous and controversial bronze sculpture “Unconditional Surrender”This enlarged and colored sculpture is really titled "Embracing Peace" by the artist.Remember the famous cover of Life magazine after WWII?

This is a sculpture based on that famous photo by Alfred Eisenstaedt.Another shot of sculpture with Midway in background.This is the 'National Salute to Bob Hope and the Military'.Bob Hope made so many USO tours to entertain the troops.
