About Us | Back |
This year Ron & Brenda Bisbee, Neil & Marilyn Blahut, and Jim & Dana Webb traveled to Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) for the 4th of July. We were a little late in the planning and found hotel rooms were filling up. Later we found out a national volleyball tournament was in town and the X-Games followed. We're not sure why we picked MSP. It was north and so it should be cooler. There was a rail, but it was rather limited. When we mentioned to others that we were going there, they always responded "Oh, you must have family there." We got the impression that no one willingly went there. It was appealing to Neil because so many Swedes had immigrated to MSP, and Neil's grandparents were Swedish. Neil liked the idea of going to the American Swedish Institute and eating at their restaurant FIKA. We also spent some shopping time at Designs by Sweden in Stillwater. Minnesota was a state that most of us had never visited. It was interesting learning about the history in the MSP area. Somehow, no matter where we go, we always find the best restaurants. This trip was no different. We had a great time! |
