Turnblad Mansion
The Turnblad mansion was built by Swedish newspaperman Swan Turnblad
His wife and daughter lived with him in the mansion from 1908 to 1929
In 1929 the Turnblad family donated the mansion to the American Swedish Insitute
The carriage house used to be behind the carport and had a turntable to turn the autos around.
The architecture style of the mansion is French Chateauesque
The carriage house was replaced with a wide hall connecting the mansion to the new ASI
