Freedom Trail

We walked a few blocks to reach the first stop of the Freedom Trail. Notice red brick stripe.This is the State House, completed in 1798. The land for the State House was originally John Hancock's cow pasture.The dome was covered with gold leaf in 1874 but painted gray during WWII to protect it from bomb attacks.Marilyn looks excited to start the adventure!
